Porcelain DreamS

New series by Holló Manuella Andrada

In the Porcelain Dreams series, Manuella Andrada Holló’s fragile dreams and desires stand in contrast with her enduring optimism. Her paintings lead the viewer on an emotionally charged inner and outer journey — to the famed village of Deià, nestled in the Tramuntana mountains at the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage site, where every stone, every space, and every beam of light carries stories from the past.

The viewer moves with her through the village’s iconic places: its cafés, bars, galleries, the courtyards that still echo legendary jam sessions — and those visionary, intimate water closets that might be the truest stages of community life. Because whether you are famous, wealthy, or wonderfully eccentric (in the most positive sense), regardless of the masks your personality wears, in the end you use the same bathroom; the same space receives you. These rooms erase social differences — and this is precisely where Manuella’s thinking becomes sharpest.

The painter cares nothing for hierarchy or material distinctions. Her vision is boundless: she believes we are all lovable, talented, playful beings connected by the same shared spaces. Manuella is drawn to the moment when someone is nudged out of their comfort zone — when a person dares to reveal their real self, can connect to others, and step into their highest potential. Into these spaces she breathes life with vivid, psychedelic brushstrokes that hover at the edge of memory and dream, mirroring the intensity and sensitivity of her own personality.

Porcelain Dreams is not only a series but also a confession: the artist’s fragile yet persistent longing for her work to resonate across the world. A dream that may well be coming to life within these porcelain-filled, everyday yet symbolic spaces.
